About Us

Peter Applin, Cataloging Manager and co-founder, has over 20 years of experience in the field of library science and cataloging as a cataloger and as a supervisor. He most recently worked as Head Cataloger at OCLC in the Contract Cataloging Services division. He received his MLIS from Louisiana State University, with a BA degree in Criminal Justice from Southeastern Louisiana University. He specializes in monographic, archival, legal, and A/V materials; continuing resources; government documents; and technical reports. His experience includes serving as the supervisor for the cataloging of NetLibrary electronic resources. He has worked with academic, public, government, and special libraries as well as archival centers and museums.

Hunter Eck, Administrative Cataloging Manager and co-founder, has over 17 years of experience in the field of library science and cataloging. He worked at OCLC as a cataloger and cataloging supervisor in the Contract Cataloging Services division. He is also a former original cataloger with Baker & Taylor, former reference librarian with the Richland County Public Library, and former Head of Cataloging and Periodicals at Columbus State University. He earned an MLIS from the University of South Carolina and a BS in Psychology from Georgia College & State University; he also attended the University of Illinois, where he majored in English. He specializes in monographic and A/V materials; sound recordings; and electronic resources. Among other projects, he was head cataloger for NetLibrary's outsourcing of electronic resources cataloging and has worked with academic, public, and special libraries.
